YOZURI - MAG CRYSTAL MINNOW 125mm F1133 SINKING CASTING LURE
Yozuri Mag Crystal Minnow 125mm F1133 Sinking Casting Lure
The Mag Crystal Minnow is the long-casting, sinking member of the Crystal Minnow family, built around Yo-Zuri's patented Magnet Weight Transfer System. Internal weights slide to the tail on the cast and are held there by magnets until the lure lands, which stops the body tumbling and adds real distance into a headwind. On the retrieve the weights return to centre so the lure sits balanced and swims with the tight wobble and darting recovery the range is known for. At 125mm and 18g in a sinking body, it is aimed at shore anglers working surf gutters, breakwalls and river mouths, where distance and the ability to fish under the surface chop both matter.
Key Features
- Sinking casting minnow, 125mm and 18g
- Patented Magnet Weight Transfer System for casting distance and in-flight stability
- Tight wobble with an erratic darting recovery on slack line
- Holographic body, etched gill plates and three-dimensional eyes
- High-strength ABS resin body with saltwater-grade trebles and split rings
- Seven colour patterns for clear, coloured and low-light water
How To Fish It
- Long cast and count down — Load the rod slowly so the weight transfers fully, cast, then count the lure down before you start winding. One count for surface-feeding fish, five to ten counts to fish under the chop or over a deeper gutter.
- Steady swim — A medium, unbroken retrieve keeps the wobble running true. This is the highest-percentage retrieve at first light and in coloured water.
- Twitch and pause — Two or three sharp taps of the rod tip to make the lure dart sideways, then a pause so it sinks slowly and level. Work this over sand holes and along wash lines.
- Fish the wash — Cast beyond a breaking bank or rock wash and bring the lure back through the white water, slowing as it enters the calm behind the wash where predators sit.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Barramundi (siakap) and mangrove jack at river mouths and rock walls, queenfish (talang), Spanish mackerel (tenggiri) and barracuda off jetties and headlands, plus trevally over shallow reef.
- North America — Striped bass, bluefish and false albacore from the surf and jetties, plus redfish and speckled trout in passes and along beachfronts.
- Japan & East Asia — Shore casting for Japanese seabass (suzuki) from breakwaters and river mouths, and hirame and kochi from surf beaches; also used for shore-based mackerel and tuna runs.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Tailor, salmon, flathead and mulloway off Australian beaches and rock platforms; queenfish and barracuda on Gulf coasts; bass, bluefish and leerfish on European surf and estuary marks.
