YOZURI - CRYSTAL MINNOW 90mm/110mm/130mm FLOATING R1123/R1124/R1125 FISHING LURES
Yozuri Crystal Minnow 90mm / 110mm / 130mm Floating R1123 / R1124 / R1125 Fishing Lures
The Crystal Minnow Floating is Yo-Zuri's long-running shallow minnow, and it earns its place through the finish as much as the shape: the patented Classic Prism finish reflects all subsurface light, so the lure keeps flashing in stained or low-light water where a painted bait goes dull. The flat-sided polycarbonate body gives a radically erratic side-to-side swimming action, and it floats back up on the pause, which is what makes the twitch-pause-retrieve so effective with it. Several methods are proven on it — retrieve-and-pause, a slow to moderate straight retrieve, or twitch-pause-retrieve. This is a global bait rather than a specialist one: the same three sizes cover snook in a mangrove creek, seabass at a river mouth, bluefish off a jetty and bass in a lake.
Key Features
- Patented Classic Prism finish that reflects all subsurface light
- Erratic side-to-side swimming action with a float-up pause
- Flat-sided polycarbonate body with a durable clear coat
- Detailed finish with lifelike gill plates; flat and scaled patterns available
- Saltwater-grade tin treble hooks and stainless steel split rings
- Three sizes, each with its own running depth, from 90 mm to 130 mm
How To Fish It
- Twitch, pause, retrieve — Two or three sharp twitches, a pause of one to two seconds while the lure floats up, then a couple of turns of the handle. The pause is where most fish commit.
- Slow to moderate straight retrieve — Wind steadily and let the body do the work. Use this to cover ground along a beach, a rock wall or a weed edge.
- Retrieve and pause — Wind three or four turns, stop, repeat. A useful rhythm when fish are following but not eating a constant retrieve.
- Work the current line — At river mouths and tidal gutters, cast up-current and swim the lure across the seam where predators wait for bait to be flushed past.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Barramundi (siakap) and mangrove jack (jenahak) around creeks and jetty pilings, queenfish (talang) and trevally off rock walls, hampala barb (sebarau) in reservoirs on the 90 mm.
- North America — Snook, redfish and speckled trout inshore, striped bass and bluefish from the surf and jetties, and largemouth bass and pike in freshwater.
- Japan & East Asia — Seabass (suzuki) shore casting at river mouths and harbour lights, plus hirame and flathead from sandy beaches.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Barramundi, tailor and Australian salmon; queenfish and small GT on Gulf coasts; sea bass, pollack and bonito around European rock and estuary marks.
