The Sabiki Apollo lure set is crafted with special soft rubber octopus, making it highly attractive to a wide range of fish species. It comes together with a glitter aurora thread effect which increases visibility in low-light conditions and night fishing. Each set carries five dressed hooks on a ready-tied string, fished clean as artificial lures or tipped with small bait strips.

Sabiki strings are not all the same. Fish-skin sabiki flickers like a small baitfish but the membrane tears once fish start hitting. Feather and plain thread versions give a soft breathing profile with flash but little bulk. This octopus version sits at the other end: the rubber skirt holds a fat silhouette, the tentacles pulse on every lift and drop rather than only on the retrieve, and rubber outlasts skin. The aurora thread sits behind the skirt, so you keep the flash without losing the profile.

How To Rig It

Standard set-up — Clip the top swivel to your main line and hang a sinker from the bottom loop. Keep it heavy enough to hold the string vertical, or the hooks tangle around the trace.
Work it, do not soak it — Drop to the bottom, wind up two or three turns, then lift the rod slowly and let the string fall back on a controlled line. The skirts open on the lift and collapse on the drop, and most bites come on the fall.
Tip it for tough days — Bait only two or three hooks; baiting every hook kills the skirt movement.
Structure and night work — Fish tight to jetty pilings, kelong legs and bridge lights after dark, where the aurora thread picks up ambient light.
Cut it down — For snaggy ground, shorten the string to two or three hooks and re-tie the spares onto your own droppers.
