The Sabiki Apollo lure set is crafted with special luminous thread, and comes together with a UV effect, glow in the dark and a luminous bead to increase visibility in low-light conditions and for night fishing. The name is accurate: six droppers of luminous thread, an oval luminous bead above every sharpened hook, and the widest hook ladder in the thread-and-bead group, #8 down to #18.

Night bait fishing has its own rhythm. Glow output is stored, not generated, so it is strongest in the first minutes after charging and weakest just as the fish finally move in. That is a discipline problem rather than a tackle one: the anglers who do well fish two strings, keeping one under a torch while the other is down.

The UV effect does something different and never fades. It generates no light — it reflects ultraviolet already present in the water. In the last hour before true dark there is still enough of it around to matter, and the same finish keeps the rig visible in deep water on a bright day. How To Fish It

Run two strings — Charge one under a headlamp while the other fishes and swap every fifteen minutes, so a fully lit rig is always down.
Fish the shadow line — Under dock lights bait holds just inside the dark edge, not the bright centre. Drop on the shaded side and let the glow do the work.
Slow the cadence after dark — Fish feed by feel and outline at night. Lift 20–30 cm, drop, and pause longer than you would in daylight before repeating.
Chum from below — Hang a cage of mashed shrimp or krill under the rig, lower into the school, then shake once to release the cloud.
Wind through the taps — A loaded string feels like a stream of light tremors, not a single knock. Never strike; wind steadily and swing it in.
