MEGABASS - VISION ONETEN 110mm 14g FRESHWATER SUSPENDING LURE CASTING
Megabass Vision Oneten 110mm 14g Suspending Jerkbait
The Vision Oneten is the jerkbait that built Megabass's reputation on tournament water. Its core is a tungsten Multi-Way Moving Balancer System: weights that shift on the cast to load the rod and carry the bait, then settle on the retrieve so the lure darts hard and throws a wide flash instead of wandering. At 110mm and 14g it suspends dead level at around 6 feet, and that depth moves with your line: closer to 7 feet on 6 lb fluorocarbon, nearer 4 feet on 15 lb. It carries internal rattles for a sound signature and comes rigged with three Megabass Katsuage Out-Barb trebles, a light-wire design intended to bite in on the slack-line strikes a jerkbait produces.
Key Features
- Suspending jerkbait, 110mm (4-1/3 in), 14g (1/2 oz)
- Tungsten Multi-Way Moving Balancer System for casting distance and a hard darting action
- Suspends level at roughly 6 feet; running depth shifts with line diameter
- Rattle chamber for an audible call in stained water
- Katsuage Out-Barb #6 trebles for light-wire hook penetration
- Most productive in water from 38°F to 70°F
How To Fish It
- Jerk-jerk-pause — Wind the bait down to depth, then give two sharp downward snaps of the rod tip followed by a pause. Start with a two-second pause and stretch it toward ten seconds in cold water; almost every bite lands on the stall.
- Long sweep — On wary fish in clear water, replace the snaps with a slow rod sweep so the bait glides and rolls rather than cutting hard.
- Grind the cover — Work it over submerged grass and down rocky banks so it ticks structure. The deflection off a rock or stem is the trigger.
- Steady wind — Around docks and shade lines in summer, a plain moderate retrieve gets the rolling flash working without the pause.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Hampala barb (sebarau) on reservoir points and rocky river bends, peacock bass off drop-offs, and giant snakehead (toman) patrolling open water in mining lakes.
- North America — Largemouth and smallmouth bass through the cold-water jerkbait season, spotted bass on clear highland reservoirs, and striped bass over flats and channel edges.
- Japan & East Asia — Black bass on the Japanese lakes and reservoirs the model was developed on, where it remains a standard tournament jerkbait.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Australian bass and Murray cod in impoundments and snag-lined rivers; pike, zander, perch and asp on European lakes, canals and gravel pits.

Recommended Pairing
- Medium-power casting rod of 6'6" to 7' with a moderate action — a stiff tip pulls trebles out on the slack-line hit
- 6–15 lb fluorocarbon, with 10–12 lb the usual sweet spot; go lighter to run it deeper, heavier to keep it shallow
- For reservoir work in Southeast Asia, 20 lb braid with a 14–16 lb fluorocarbon leader adds control around timber
