That suits clear or heavily fished water where a solid black or red frog gets refused but blade noise still calls fish up. The soft, high-buoyancy body rides the surface film and collapses on the strike so the sharpened 1/0 point is exposed, and 7g in a compact body handles wind and long casts across shallow weed.

How To Fish It

• Steady blade wind for haruan — Along paddy drains and canal walls, wind at a constant medium speed so both blades stay turning. Striped snakehead often intercept from the bank side.
• Walk-the-dog frog steps — Rod tip low with slight slack, twitch in an even rhythm so it swings side to side down weed lanes and reed edges.
• Fish the natural tones in clear water — On bright days and pressured ponds, start with a green or brown pattern and only move to a contrasting head if fish follow without committing.
• Point-hopping on floating mats — Over duckweed and salvinia, tap the rod tip in short lifts to hop it pocket to pocket, pausing two or three seconds in each hole.
• Pause a beat before setting — Keep winding through the blow-up, wait for the rod to load with the fish's weight, then sweep sideways rather than striking at the splash.
