LURESFACTORY - DIGGY RUBBER FROG 35mm 7g SOFT FROG TOPWATER
Luresfactory Diggy Rubber Frog 35mm 7g Soft Frog Topwater
The Diggy is a 3.5cm, 7g soft topwater frog on a 1/0 hook, fitted with finesse premium double blades. Its soft, high-buoyancy body rides on the surface film yet collapses the instant a fish closes on it, so the sharpened 1/0 point is not shielded. Carrying the same 7g as the 4cm Rowdy in a shorter body makes it the densest soft frog in the range: it punches into wind and lands accurately at distance. The double blades add flash and a light surface rattle that pulls fish out of thick weed, and the thirteen-colour run spans natural greens and browns plus solid high-contrast black, red, blue and grey for dirty water and low light.
Key Features
- Topwater soft frog, 3.5cm and 7g
- 1/0 hook with a sharpened point
- Soft, high-buoyancy body that compresses on the strike
- Finesse premium double blades for flash, noise and vibration
- Highest weight-to-length ratio of the soft frogs for long, accurate casts
- Lifelike appearance and action
- Thirteen colours, from natural frog tones to solid high-contrast finishes
How To Fish It
- Long-range search casts — Use the extra density to reach the far bank or a rising fish. Wind at a constant medium speed so both blades keep turning the whole way back.
- Walk-the-dog frog steps — Rod tip low with slight slack, twitch in a steady rhythm so the frog swings side to side down weed lanes and along canal walls.
- Point-hopping on floating mats — Over duckweed and salvinia, tap the rod tip in short sharp lifts to hop it pocket to pocket, then let it sit dead in each hole for two or three seconds.
- Pause a beat before setting — Do not strike at the splash. Keep winding through the blow-up, wait for the rod to load with the fish's weight, then sweep sideways.
- Squeeze the body out — After a fish or a heavy drag through weed, compress the body to expel water and air so it floats correctly again.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Giant snakehead (toman) over weeded ponds, ex-mining lakes and drowned timber; striped snakehead (haruan) in paddy drains and canals; peacock bass in lily pockets; hampala barb (sebarau) on weed lines.
- North America — Largemouth bass over pads, hydrilla and matted duckweed; chain pickerel and bowfin in southern backwaters; northern snakehead in tidal rivers.
- Japan & East Asia — Snakehead (raigyo) on matted cover in the traditional raigyo style, catfish (namazu) at dusk, and bass over shallow reservoir weed.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Saratoga and barramundi (siakap) in lily-covered billabongs and weedy creek arms; pike and perch over weed in European lakes and canals.
