Little Jack Metal Adict Type-02 Metal Jig 20g / 30g / 40g
The Metal Adict Type-02 is a versatile, natural-looking metal jig built on a thin, straight baitfish form with the balance point set in the centre of the body. That centre balance plus slim section gives it a two-sided character: it swims straight and responsively under tension, then flutters down like a falling leaf the moment you give it slack. The narrow profile also cuts wind on the cast and slices through current instead of being pushed off line. An assist hook at the head pairs with a rear treble in a layout designed to reduce tangling on the drop. It suits everything from gentle surf to more dynamic open-water jigging.
Key Features
- Thin, straight baitfish form for casting distance and low current resistance
- Centre-balanced body producing a leaf-like fluttering fall on slack line
- Assist hook and rear treble layout designed to resist tangling
- Three weights — 20g, 30g and 40g — across 68mm, 78mm and 85mm bodies
- Seven colour patterns covering iwashi baitfish, laser flash and high-visibility finishes
How To Fish It
- One-pitch jerk — One sharp rod lift per reel turn, rhythm kept even. The jig darts up on the lift and slides off on the slack — the standard shore and light offshore cadence.
- Jerk-jerk-stop — Two fast jerks, then a full stop of two to three seconds so the jig flutters down. Watch the line during the stop; most takes come on that fall and show as a tick or a line that stops early.
- Straight fast retrieve — Wind steadily and fast with no rod work when mackerel, bonito or trevally are chasing bait up top. The straight body tracks true at speed without spinning.
- Slow lift and drop on the bottom — Let it hit bottom, lift slowly to about 11 o'clock, then drop the tip and let it flutter back. Best over reef edges and drop-offs for bottom species.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Trevally (gerepoh), queenfish, Spanish mackerel (tenggiri) and small tuna from jetties and breakwaters, plus grouper and snapper on the slow lift and drop.
- North America — Striped bass, bluefish and false albacore from beaches and jetties, plus Pacific bonito and calico bass on the West Coast.
- Japan & East Asia — Standard shore jigging and light jigging tackle for yellowtail, sawara, kanpachi and small tuna, with the 20g suited to light shore work.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Australian salmon, tailor and longtail tuna off ocean rocks; queenfish and kingfish on Gulf marks; bass, pollack and mackerel on European coasts.
