Little Jack Gyocks Minnow-46 With Lip 46mm 3g Sinking
The Gyocks Minnow-46 is a purpose-built, finesse-focused minnow. It is a lipped, sinking design at 46mm and 3g, with a rattle chamber that adds a sound signature to an otherwise quiet, small-profile lure. The lip gives it a defined swimming depth and a tight wobble a lipless sinking pencil of the same size cannot produce, so it tracks a steady line rather than gliding. The light build and cast-friendly balance suit anglers chasing bass and other selective predators on light gear, and the reflective, holographic and glow finishes cover bright, stained and low-light water from one box.
Key Features
- 46mm body at 3g — finesse size for ultralight and light game tackle
- Sinking design that counts down to a chosen depth and holds it
- Fitted lip for a defined running depth and a tight, controlled wobble
- Internal rattle for extra sound in stained or coloured water
- Seven finishes spanning holographic, natural, clear and glow patterns
How To Fish It
- Countdown and steady wind — Count down in seconds until you find fish or tick structure, then wind steadily at that count. The lip keeps it tracking level rather than rising, so the depth you set is the depth it holds.
- Twitch and pause — Two or three short twitches with the tip low, then a one to two second stop. The lure sinks nose-down and the rattle goes quiet — that change is the trigger.
- Slow roll along structure — Run it parallel to jetty pilings, weed edges and seawalls, keeping just clear so the rattle carries into the structure.
- Stop and go in current — Cast up-current, wind fast enough to feel the lip load, then stop and let the flow carry it down the seam.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Hampala barb (sebarau) on reservoir points, small peacock bass and jungle perch in clear rivers, plus small barramundi (siakap) and archerfish along mangrove edges.
- North America — Largemouth and smallmouth bass on finesse gear, crappie, perch and stocked trout, plus inshore speckled trout around docks and lights.
- Japan & East Asia — Light game (raito ge-mu) work for mebaru, kasago and small seabass around harbours and breakwaters, and stream and pond trout, yamame and amago.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Bream, Australian bass and estuary perch in tidal creeks; small grunter on Gulf marks; perch, chub and trout in European rivers and canals.
