Hearty Rise Jigging Glove — Non-Slip, Full Finger
Jigging is repetitive work. Several hundred rod strokes an hour, a wet foregrip, a reel handle turning under load, and by the afternoon it is the angler's hands that fail before the tackle does. The Hearty Rise HG-2702 glove is built for that job. An ergonomic three-dimensional cut follows the shape of the hand so the fingers still close comfortably around rod and reel. The palm uses a soft, wear-resistant anti-slip material that holds a wet grip, and double-layer fabric reinforces the high-wear thumb and index areas. Breathable mesh across the back releases heat, and an adjustable hook-and-loop wrist strap keeps the glove in position through casting, jigging and a long fight. Full-finger coverage protects against friction, line contact and abrasion.
Key Features
- Anti-slip palm in soft, wear-resistant material for grip on wet rods and reels
- Double-layer reinforcement at the thumb and index finger
- Breathable mesh back to reduce heat build-up
- Adjustable hook-and-loop wrist closure
- Suited to jigging, slow jigging, offshore and boat fishing; black and grey with embroidered branding
What It Solves
- Blistering and rope burn — Hours of lift-and-wind wear a hot spot into the palm and the inside of the index finger. The double-layer panels sit exactly where that happens.
- Wet hands slipping — Salt spray, slime and sunscreen turn a foregrip greasy. The anti-slip palm keeps the rod locked in the hand instead of constantly regripping.
- Fins, spines and teeth — Grouper gill plates, mackerel teeth and scad spines catch bare skin on the unhook, and thumbing a spool under tension cuts fast. Full-finger cover takes the first contact.
- Sun exposure — Backs of hands take direct sun all day on an open deck; covered hands stay out of it while the mesh vents the heat.
Choosing A Size
- #M — Average adult hands. A jigging glove should feel close-fitting when new; a loose palm slides on the grip and defeats the anti-slip surface.
- #XXL — Large or broad hands, and anglers who want room to pull the glove on and off between drifts.
- Between the two, a snug glove gives better rod feel for slow pitch; a roomier one is easier to remove for re-rigging.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Full-day jigging and popping over reef and wreck for grouper (kerapu), red snapper (ikan merah), GT and queenfish, where heat and spray make grip the limiting factor.
- North America — Gulf grouper, snapper and amberjack jigging; Pacific rockfish, lingcod and yellowtail; Atlantic striped bass and tuna.
- Japan & East Asia — Slow pitch and shore jigging for buri, hirame and madai, and winter sessions where a wet bare hand is unworkable.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Kingfish and snapper off Australia, hamour in the Gulf, cod and pollack on European wrecks.
