HEARTY RISE - CONQUEROR ZIPPER WORM 4" X 10PCS SOFT PLASTIC
Hearty Rise Conqueror Zipper Worm 4" Soft Plastic, 10 Pieces Per Pack
The Conqueror Zipper Worm is a 4" straight-tail finesse worm with a deeply ribbed, zipper-like surface running down the body. Hearty Rise explain the purpose directly: the wave design makes the worm reflect a slight wave motion in the water, which stimulates bass to bite when they are low on activity, and because the take is more confident the angler has more time to raise the rod. The ribs also break up light and hold scent in the grooves. It is a low-speed, low-commotion bait for pressured or cold water. Supplied 10 pieces per pack in eight colours.
Key Features
- 4" (10 cm) straight finesse worm body
- Ribbed "zipper" surface that reflects a slight wave motion in the water
- Aimed at low-activity fish rather than calling them from distance
- Ribs hold scent and attractant in the grooves
- Manufacturer-recommended rigs: wacky rig (lead-free) and neko rig
- Also suits Texas, Ned and drop shot presentations
- 10 pieces per pack, eight colour patterns
How To Fish It
- Wacky rig — Hook it through the middle on a plain or O-ring wacky hook and let it fall on slack line. Both ends flex on the drop; give two small shakes, pause, then let it settle.
- Neko rig — Insert a nail weight in the head and hook the body a third of the way down. The worm stands nose-down and the tail waves above it — the presentation for a single rock, laydown or dock post.
- Texas rig around cover — Peg a bullet weight and an offset worm hook, pitch into timber, weed or mangrove roots, then drag and shake it back rather than hopping it.
- Drop shot — Nose-hook it above the sinker and shake in place. In current, hold the rod still and let the flow work the ribs.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Hampala barb (sebarau) and peacock bass around reservoir rock and standing timber, giant snakehead (toman) through weed pockets, small barramundi (siakap) off jetty pilings.
- North America — Largemouth and smallmouth bass, the core wacky and neko fishery, plus crappie and yellow perch on lighter tackle.
- Japan & East Asia — Black bass finesse fishing, where the wacky and neko rigs originated, on pressured lakes and reservoirs.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Australian bass and estuary bream; perch and zander in European canals and gravel pits; freshwater bass in Middle Eastern reservoirs and stocked dams.
