DUEL - HARDCORE R9/R11/R13 90mm/110mm/130mm F1283/F1284/F1285 FLOATING FISHING LURES
Duel Hardcore R9 / R11 / R13 90mm / 110mm / 130mm F1283 / F1284 / F1285 Floating Fishing Lures
The Hardcore R Series is Duel's slim floating minnow range, built around a roll-focused swimming action rather than an aggressive wobble. The slim profile and restrained movement are aimed at fish that have seen too many hard lures and refuse a loud presentation — shallow flats, harbour mouths and river bars where the water is clear and the fish are wary. All three sizes carry Duel's internationally patented Magnet Weight Transfer System: the weight slides to the tail on the cast for distance, then a magnet ball and Weight Hold Cup lock it forward the moment the retrieve starts, so the lure holds a stable posture instead of rolling out. Every model in this listing is a floating design running in the top 60cm, which makes the series a shallow-water search tool first and foremost.
Models: F1283 / 90mm - 6g, F1284 / 110mm - 9g, F1285 / 130mm - 13g. Type: Floating.

How To Fish It
- Steady swim across current — Cast up-current, wind just fast enough to feel the roll, and let the flow swing the lure across the seam. Takes usually land at the end of the swing.
- Slow drift retrieve — In moving water, wind slowly enough that the current supplies most of the action. This is the presentation the slim body is designed for.
- Twitch and float — Two sharp twitches then a pause; the floating body rises and often triggers a following fish to commit.
- Size up through the session — Start with the R9 on calm days, move to the R11 or R13 when there is wind, chop, or larger bait in the area.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Barramundi (siakap), queenfish, giant trevally and mangrove jack around river mouths, jetties and rock walls; the R9 also works for hampala barb (sebarau) in reservoirs.
- North America — Striped bass and bluefish along the surf and inlets, plus largemouth and smallmouth bass on shallow reservoir points.
- Japan & East Asia — Purpose-built for seabass (suzuki) shore casting, and effective on hirame and shore-jigging by-catch from open beaches.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Australian salmon, tailor and estuary barramundi; sea bass, pollack and pike in Europe; queenfish and small trevally on Gulf flats.
