The Duel Hardcore Jerkbait 90SP is a slim suspending minnow built for the twitch-and-pause game. At 90mm and 7.5g it carries a short lip and a slender body, so it darts sharply to the side on a jerk and then holds its position in the water column instead of rising or sinking away. That neutral pause is what makes a suspending lure work in cold water, in clear water, or any time fish are following without committing — the lure simply stays in front of them. Duel's magnetic weight transfer system shifts an internal weight to the tail during the cast and locks it forward on the retrieve, which gives a light 7.5g body a straight, stable flight into wind. It runs in the shallow band, roughly 0.1 to 1.5 metres, so it covers flats, rock edges and structure without digging in. F967 is a discontinued Duel model number, so the colours here are what remains available.

How To Fish It

• Jerk, jerk, pause — Two sharp downward jerks on slack line, then stop for two to four seconds. Lengthen the pause in colder or clearer water; most takes come while the lure is sitting still.
• Slow steady retrieve — Wind at a constant slow pace so the body holds its tight wobble. Useful for locating active fish before you slow down.
• Structure work — Cast past a rock, laydown or bridge pillar, twitch the lure alongside it, then pause it right in the shadow line.
• Dawn and dusk flats — Fan-cast shallow sand or weed flats on the tide change and keep the lure high in the water where fish are hunting.
