A single American Tackle 64TTRLS guide for rod building, sold individually in eight ring sizes from 8 mm to 40 mm. The S marks the spinning frame, and it is why this ladder looks nothing like the casting models in the same 64 series. A fixed spool releases line in expanding coils, not straight off a level spool, so the guide nearest the reel must stand tall and open wide enough to catch that cone and funnel it down — a casting train can start at 16 mm, a spinning train may need 40 mm. TT is the middle ring option here: a TICH frame carrying a Nanolite ring in stainless steel, seated by Ring Lock.

Where It Sits In The Ladder

• 64NCRLS — chrome Nanolite — The entry step. First builds, spare sets, rods that mostly run mono.
• 64TTRLS — TICH Nanolite, this model — The middle step, and where most builds land: a mixed braid and mono rod that sees salt but does not need a titanium budget.
• 64NIRLS — titanium — The top step. Lightest, and hardest for braid to groove, for dedicated PE rods.

How To Build With It

• Sizing the stripper — Match the first guide to the spool: 40 and 30 mm for 6000–14000 reels, 25 mm for 3000–5000, 20 mm for finesse blanks. Undersizing here costs distance on every cast.
• Reduce, then run — Take the cone down through 25, 20 and 16 mm over the first third of the blank, then hold 12, 10 and 8 mm to the tip where the line is already near-straight.
• Use the extra step — The 10 mm the titanium model skips is useful here: a light train can reduce in smaller increments instead of jumping 12 mm straight to 8 mm.
• Spacing and finishing — Around one guide per foot of blank plus one. Static test the taped train under a hanging weight until the line follows the curve, then seal in two thin epoxy coats.
