Z-Man SwimmerZ 4" / 6" Soft Lure Soft Bait

The SwimmerZ is one of the longest-standing designs in the ElaZtech line: a realistic preyfish body with a broad rounded paddletail and a split belly that takes a jig head or weighted swimbait hook cleanly. The split belly makes it rig straight and keeps hook exposure good on the strike, while the wide tail comes alive at low speeds because the ElaZtech material is so soft. Natural laminate colours give a two-tone back-and-belly finish. Z-Man rates ElaZtech at up to 10X the durability of ordinary soft plastic, which lets a 6" swimbait keep fishing after repeated hits. Offered 4 per pack in 4" and 3 per pack in 6"; several world record barramundi have been taken on the SwimmerZ in Australia.

How To Fish It

• Slow-roll on a jig head — Count it down to the level holding fish, then wind steadily just fast enough to feel the tail thump. Slow further in cold or dirty water.
• Lift and drop — Raise the rod tip and let it glide back down on semi-slack line. Strikes come as it falls, so keep the line in view.
• Weedless over structure — Rig on a weighted swimbait hook and swim it over weed, submerged timber, oyster bars and mangrove roots.
• Cast and burn for pelagics — On a heavier head, cast into surface bust-ups and retrieve fast and straight so the tail rolls without spinning.

Target Species By Region

• Southeast Asia — Barramundi (siakap) around jetty pilings and river mouths, giant snakehead (toman) and hampala barb (sebarau) in reservoirs on a weedless hook, plus mangrove jack and queenfish on a jig head.
• North America — Largemouth and striped bass in reservoirs and tailraces, and inshore redfish, speckled trout, flounder and snook over grass flats and marsh drains.
• Japan & East Asia — Seabass (suzuki) on shore casting tackle, flathead and hirame on sandy beaches, plus larger rockfish around breakwaters.
• Australia, Middle East & Europe — Barramundi in the north, Murray cod, golden perch and flathead in the south; pike and zander in European lakes; queenfish and trevally on Gulf flats.

Specifications

Colours: Ayu, Blueback Herring, Breaking Bream, Calico Candy, Golden Boy, Goldrush, Houdini, Motor Oil, Opening Night, Red Shad, Redbone, Shiner, Silver Shad, Smoky Shad. Motor Oil and Smoky Shad are 4" only; Silver Shad is 6" only.

Store ElaZtech away from ordinary PVC plastics — the two materials react in contact.
