Z-MAN - FLOATING WORMZ 4" x 10PCS /7" x 8PCS SOFT LURE SOFT BAIT
Z-Man Floating WormZ 4" x 10Pcs / 7" x 8Pcs Soft Lure Soft Bait
The Floating WormZ is a straight-tail worm built around buoyancy. Z-Man rates the ElaZtech material as floating the worm like a cork rigged weightless — even on a heavy-gauge hook — and the flotation comes from the material itself, not from microballoons or additives that cost durability and colour. Rigged Texas or Carolina style, the worm rises off the bottom tail-up and stands in the strike zone above weed instead of lying flat in it. Offered 4" at ten per pack for trout, steelhead and salmon work, and 7" at eight per pack for topwater bass. Made in the USA.
Key Features
- Floats when rigged weightless, even on heavy-gauge hooks
- Buoyancy from the ElaZtech material, not added microballoons
- Rises tail-up off the bottom on Texas and Carolina rigs
- ElaZtech, rated by Z-Man at 10X tougher than conventional plastic
- Two sizes: 4" (10 per pack) and 7" (8 per pack)
- Six colours, natural green pumpkin through high-visibility pink and chartreuse
- Made in the USA
How To Fish It
- Weightless surface worm — Rig on a 3/0–5/0 worm hook, no weight, and twitch it across the top on slack line, letting it dart and rest. It stays visible on the surface, so watch it and delay the hook set until the fish turns down.
- Texas rig over weed — Add a 1/8–3/8 oz bullet weight and work weed edges. On the pause it stands tail-up above the grass instead of disappearing into it.
- Carolina rig on flats — Run a 1/2–1 oz sinker and a 60–120 cm leader, dragging slowly across points and drop-offs. The buoyant worm rides up off the bottom throughout.
- Drifted for trout and steelhead — Thread the 4" size above a bait hook or on a jig head and drift it through runs and tailouts so it lifts off the gravel.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Giant snakehead (toman) weightless over lily pads and matted weed, hampala barb (sebarau) and peacock bass along reservoir edges, plus barramundi (siakap) Texas-rigged around flooded timber.
- North America — Largemouth bass on the weightless 7" worm over pads, grass and shallow spawning flats in spring, Carolina-rigged on summer points; smallmouth and spotted bass on rocky drop-offs; rainbow trout, steelhead and salmon drifted on the 4" size in northern rivers and stocked lakes.
- Japan & East Asia — Largemouth bass in the weedy shallows of Lake Biwa and Kasumigaura, where a weightless floating worm is a standard shallow-cover rig.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Barramundi and saratoga in northern lilies and billabongs, golden perch on Texas rigs; pike, perch and zander over European weed beds and canal margins.
