The EZ ShrimpZ Rigged is a pre-rigged shrimp imitation that comes out of the packet ready to cast — body, weight and hook already assembled, with no jig head to buy or rigging to get right. The body is moulded in buoyant ElaZtech, rated by Z-Man at up to 10X the durability of ordinary soft plastic, so it outlasts shrimp imitations that tear after a couple of fish. That buoyancy holds the shrimp in a horizontal posture and slows the descent, so on slack line the segmented body and fine appendages drift like a live shrimp rather than dropping like a stone. Each bait carries a heavy-duty black nickel 2/0 Mustad hook and a notched quarter-ounce weight that can be trimmed to tune the sink rate.

How To Fish It

• Under a popping cork — Hang it 45–90 cm below a cork over grass flats or oyster edges. Pop once, then leave it still for several seconds while the shrimp settles.
• Free line with the tide — Cast up-current at a drain, pylon or mangrove mouth and let it drift back with no rod input, taking up slack only to stay in contact.
• Hop along the bottom — Short lifts of 20–30 cm, then let it fall on semi-slack line. Bites come on the drop, so watch the line rather than waiting to feel weight.
• Trim to suit — Cut the notched weight back for skinny water or a slower fall; leave it full for current, depth or wind.
