Yozuri 3DR-X Pencil 75mm 7.5g R1434 Floating Fishing Lure
The Yo-Zuri 3DR-X Pencil is a 75 mm floating topwater walker built to imitate a small baitfish skipping on the surface. At 7.5 g it is light enough for a medium-light rod but dense enough to cast into a headwind, and the tapered body walks side to side on very little rod input — a rhythmic tap of the tip keeps it swinging. A single-knock rattle gives one clear, low-frequency click per swing rather than a continuous rattle, which carries well over flat water at dawn. The 3D prism finish is applied inside the body, so it keeps flashing after the outside has been chewed. Available in eight colours.
Key Features
- 75 mm / 7.5 g compact profile that imitates small baitfish
- Floating topwater design for walk-the-dog action
- 3D prism internal finish reflecting light in multiple directions for lifelike flash
- Single-knock rattle producing a natural sound that draws fish from a distance
- Sharp black nickel round-bend treble hooks, ready to fish out of the box
- Durable body construction and finish that withstand repeated strikes
- Easy to control — suits both beginners and experienced topwater anglers
- Eight colour patterns for bright, natural and low-light conditions
How To Fish It
- Walk-the-dog — Keep the rod tip low and slightly slack, then tap down in a steady rhythm while taking up line between taps. The lure should swing an even distance to each side rather than skate forward.
- Stop and go — Walk it four or five swings, then stop dead for two seconds. Fish that followed without committing usually eat during that stall.
- Fast burn over bait — When fish are smashing bait on the surface, walk it quickly with no pause. Cast beyond the edge of the school and bring it through rather than landing on top.
- Low light and flat water — Fish it in the first and last hour of daylight, at night under jetty lights, and on calm mornings when the single knock carries.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Barramundi (siakap) and mangrove jack (jenahak) on mangrove edges, queenfish (talang) off jetties and rock walls, and hampala barb (sebarau), peacock bass and giant snakehead (toman) in reservoirs.
- North America — Largemouth and smallmouth bass, striped and white bass in freshwater; speckled trout, redfish and snook on inshore flats.
- Japan & East Asia — Seabass (suzuki) shore casting around river mouths and harbours, black bass on reservoir topwater, plus small blue runners in warmer months.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Australian bass, barramundi and giant herring up north; queenfish on Gulf flats; asp, chub, perch and pike across European rivers, canals and lakes.
