The Santec Jumbo Big Net 39911 is a baited net — the oversized matabom spring rig — built to work a concentrated feeding spot, not to scoop or land fish. A heavy-duty gold-finished steel spring above the net holds the bait: bread paste, softened pellets or groundbait pressed around the coils. The bait releases scent and particles gradually, drawing fish to the centre. The net body is roughly 1 metre, and fish feeding near the bait are enclosed in the fine netting as the rig is drawn back up. Luminous green beads help in stained water.

How To Use It

• Why the net changes what the spring does — A bare bom spring holds bait and nothing more, so the paste washes into open water and the swim scatters within minutes. With the net wrapped around it, bait breaks down through mesh and the scent trail stays anchored over one spot — a longer-lasting swim, not a bigger scoop.
