Santec Hogy Minnow Luminous Soft Bait 2.5" x 8 Pcs / 3" x 6 Pcs
The Santec Hogy Minnow Luminous is a minnow-profile soft plastic for the times fish cannot see a normal bait — night sessions, deep water, and stained water after rain. The luminous patterns hold a charge and give the lure a visible outline in the dark, so a following fish has something to home in on instead of a silhouette that disappears at arm's length. The range runs to thirty-five patterns, from natural daylight finishes through UV and chartreuse to full glow. Two sizes: 2.5" eight to a pack, 3.0" six to a pack.
Key Features
- Luminous soft plastic body for night, deep-water and low-visibility fishing
- Two sizes: 2.5" (8 pcs per pack) and 3.0" (6 pcs per pack), model 35913
- Thirty-five colour patterns in both sizes, including several glow and luminous-tail finishes
- UV and chartreuse patterns for stained water and overcast days
- Rigs on jig heads, weedless worm hooks, drop shot rigs, or as assist-hook dressing
How To Fish It
- Charge it before the cast — Hold a torch or UV light against the body for ten to twenty seconds. The glow fades under water, so recharge every few casts, not once a session.
- Night jetty and bridge lights — Cast into the shadow line beside a lit jetty and retrieve slowly across it. Predators sit in the dark and take what crosses the light edge.
- Deep vertical work — Drop to the bottom on a heavier jig head, lift a metre and let it flutter back. Deep down a glow finish stays visible where colour has washed out.
- Muddy or flooded water — After heavy rain, use glow or bright chartreuse and slow the retrieve right down so fish have time to find the lure.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Barramundi (siakap), mangrove jack and grunter under jetty and bridge lights at night; giant snakehead (toman) in stained reservoir water; small grouper (kerapu) on deeper reef edges.
- North America — Striped bass and speckled trout around dock lights, walleye after dark, crappie over deep brush, largemouth bass in muddy post-rain water.
- Japan & East Asia — Seabass (suzuki) on night shore casting, rockfish (mebaru, kasago) around ports, hata on deeper drops.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Bream, flathead and mulloway under Australian bridge lights; hamour on deep Gulf hard bottom; zander in coloured European rivers, where low light is the norm.
