Santec Hogy Minnow Luminous Slimz 2.5" x 8 Pcs / 3" x 6 Pcs
The Santec Hogy Slim-Z is the slim-bodied member of the Hogy Minnow family — a soft plastic built to mimic the natural swimming action of baitfish, for anglers chasing species such as bass, snapper and mackerel in fresh and salt water. The narrow cross-section is the point of difference: less water resistance than a standard-bodied minnow, so it settles faster on the same jig head and shimmies on a tighter, less exaggerated action. That suits pressured fish, clear water, and snakehead under matted cover where a fat body pushes too much water. It carries the same luminous, glow and UV patterns as the rest of the Luminous line, so it doubles as a night bait.
Key Features
- Slim minnow profile — the narrow-bodied version of the Hogy Minnow Luminous
- Two sizes: 2.5" (8 pcs per pack) and 3" (6 pcs per pack)
- 32 colour patterns in each size, including glow, luminous-tail and UV finishes
- Luminous patterns #04, #17, #32, #33 and #34 hold a charge for night and deep work
- Rigs on jig heads, weedless worm hooks, drop shot rigs, or as assist-hook dressing
How To Fish It
- Slow-rolled on a jig head — Count the lure down to the fish, then wind just fast enough to keep it swimming. The slim body needs less speed than a paddle tail to stay alive.
- Weedless over cover — Rig on an offset worm hook and skim it across weed mats, flooded grass and timber for snakehead. The narrow body slides through cover instead of hanging up on it.
- Lift and drop — Lift the rod to 10 o'clock and let it glide back on a semi-slack line. Most bites land on the drop.
- Night and low light — Charge a glow pattern with a torch for ten to twenty seconds, and recharge every few casts. Work it along lit jetty edges and bridge shadow lines.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Giant snakehead (toman) and haruan over weed and flooded grass; hampala barb (sebarau) in rivers; barramundi (siakap) and mangrove jack under jetty lights at night.
- North America — Largemouth and smallmouth bass on finesse jig heads, crappie and walleye after dark, speckled trout and redfish inshore.
- Japan & East Asia — Rockfish (mebaru, kasago) and small seabass on light game tackle around ports; horse mackerel (aji) on ajing gear in the 2.5" size.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Bream and flathead in estuaries; perch and zander in European lakes and canals; queenfish on Gulf flats.
