Santec Hogy Minnow Cutter Soft Bait 3" x 6 Pcs

The Santec Hogy Minnow Cutter is a 3" straight-tail (cut-tail) soft plastic for freshwater and saltwater work. Unlike a paddle or curl tail, the squared-off cut tail makes almost no action of its own — it hangs, glides and quivers, and only comes alive when the angler moves the rod. That makes it a finesse bait rather than a swimming bait — the choice when fish have seen too many thumping tails, or when bites come on the pause. Six pieces to a pack in twelve colours, it suits predators from bass to snapper and mackerel.

How To Fish It

• Drop shot — Nose-hook the body above a 5–15 g weight, hold the weight on the bottom and shake the rod tip. The cut tail quivers in place without moving the lure away — what a straight tail is built for.
• Slow jig head retrieve — Wind just fast enough to keep contact, adding a small twitch every few turns. The bait glides on the pause rather than swimming, so leave long gaps between rod movements.
• Dead-stick over structure — Cast past a jetty pile, rock ledge or submerged tree, let the bait sink on a controlled line and hold it. Bites register as a line jump, not a knock.
• Weightless twitch — Rig weedless on a light worm hook and work short, sharp twitches near the surface for a darting, injured-baitfish look in the shallows.
