The Santec Flott Hopp 35910 is a compact floating frog lure designed for freshwater predators around shallow water, grass, lily pads, reeds and other snag-prone cover. Its soft hollow body compresses when a fish bites, helping the concealed double hooks move into an effective hooking position; on the retrieve those hooks sit close against the body, giving a streamlined, relatively snag-resistant presentation for working through vegetation. Long flexible skirt legs move and pulse across the surface, producing frog-like action, vibration and visual attraction. The compact weighted body provides good casting control and keeps the lure stable on the water. This is the plain-bodied version of the Flott Hopp — no spinner blade — supplied at 45mm and 6g in three colours under the 35910 SKU series, and it suits anglers who want a quiet, natural surface presentation over pressured or clear water.

How To Fish It

• Steady swim — Wind at a constant, moderate pace so the body tracks on top and the legs trail and kick. Useful for covering a weed line before slowing down on the fishy sections.
• Twitch and pause — Short rod-tip taps to make the frog shuffle forward, then stop. The legs keep moving while the body sits still, and that pause is where most takes come.
• Hold it beside cover — Land it next to a pad, reed stem or overhang and leave it for several seconds before the first movement, imitating a resting or injured frog.
• Set with a sweep — Wait until the line loads, then sweep low and hard so the hooks clear the collapsing body. Keep the rod high afterwards to skate the fish over weed.
