The Santec 7932 is a barrel swivel with an interlock snap, carrying the NSB model designation as marked by the maker, in ten sizes from #10 up to #4/0. The interlock is the quick-change snap of this family: the tag wire seats into a formed catch at the head of the clip, so it opens with one movement of a thumbnail but does not fall open under side load. Behind it sits a barrel swivel — the first rung of the swivel ladder, two eyes swaged into a plain barrel body with no rolling element inside. It is the simplest and cheapest form: it sheds the mild twist of bait rigs and slow-turning lures, but slows once heavy load comes on. How To Rig It

• Leader to lure — Uni or improved clinch to the swivel eye, lure on the snap. Check the wire is fully seated in the catch before each cast; a half-open interlock holds very little.
• Working a bank or a jetty — Use it on sessions where you change lure every few casts to find size and colour. Retying costs leader each time; the snap does not.
• Sinker and dropper rigs — Hang the sinker on the snap so weight changes as tide or wind builds, hook trace tied to the swivel eye above.
• Which snap for which job — Take the interlock for speed on light and medium tackle; step up to a safety snap (7933), a crosslock (7923) or a coastlock (7922) as fish size, jig weight and structure increase. Each step trades change speed for holding security.
