The MF Mamba Prop is a snake-profile surface lure built for snakehead: 7cm of tough resin body on stainless-steel through-wire, with a detailed head, raised scale texture, an internal rattle and a metal propeller mounted between the body and the rear treble. Each piece is handcrafted and individually painted, so small differences in colour, pattern and weight occur between lures. The propeller is what defines how it fishes. A frog imitation makes its noise by popping, jumping or being dragged over a mat, all of which need constant rod input and mostly happen at the surface film. A prop bait works on a plain steady wind: the blade turns continuously, throwing flash, vibration and a bubble trail, and leaves a wake behind a body that is riding just in the surface. How To Fish It

• Steady retrieve first — This lure is designed for a constant wind. Find the slowest speed that keeps the propeller turning without breaking rhythm and hold it there for the whole cast. The unbroken wake is the attraction; stopping and starting throws it away.
• Wake it along cover, not over it — Cast parallel to weed edges, reed walls and drowned timber and keep the lure within a rod length of them. A prop bait carries a rear treble, so fish the edge of cover rather than the middle of a mat, where a weedless frog belongs.
• Read the bubble trail — In stained water watch the trail rather than the lure. A boil or a bulge behind the trail means a fish has come; hold your speed.
• Stall on the follow — If a fish tracks the lure without taking, a single half-second stall that lets the blade stop and restart is often enough to make it commit.
• Snakehead strike discipline — Toman and haruan hit a prop bait hard and frequently miss a rear treble. Do not strike at the splash. Keep winding at the same speed until the rod loads, then sweep sideways. Cast straight back to the same spot after a miss.
