The I'PSA Frog is the largest and heaviest frog in this group — 5cm and 10.5g — and it is the one to pick when the water is big, the wind is up, or the fish are. The detailed body carries realistic eyes, scale patterns and natural frog colours for a clear visual target, and the 5cm profile works comfortably around ponds, lakes, rivers, canals and grass or weed edges. A strong rear double-hook system sits close to the body so the lure travels through light vegetation and surface cover with less chance of snagging than an exposed-hook lure, though no lure is completely snag-free. Flexible silicone skirt strands move on the retrieve for extra vibration and visual action.

Weight is what separates it from the rest of the range. How To Fish It

• Long-range search — Fan-cast the far bank, weed line or open pad field and wind steadily so the body pushes a constant wake. Use the extra weight to cover water the smaller frogs cannot reach.
• Twitch and pause — Two short rod-tip twitches, then stop for two to three seconds. The skirt keeps pulsing on the stop and big fish often commit there rather than on the move.
• Work the wind — In a chop, the smaller frogs get blown off line and lose their action. This body has the mass to hold a straight track and stay visible in broken water.
• Edge patrol at first and last light — Run it parallel to a weed or reed edge at an even speed so it stays in the strike zone for the whole cast.
• Set late and sweep — A big fish on a big hard body needs the strike delayed. Wind through the blow-up, feel the weight, then sweep sideways with a low rod.
