The Bufo Let's Go V.7 is a handmade frog-style topwater lure and the longest body in the Let's Go range at 5.5cm, carrying 12g. That combination matters. It weighs the same as the 5cm V.3 but spreads that weight over a longer shell, so it floats higher for its mass: it holds a surface action at slower retrieve speeds, sits up on the pause instead of settling, and shows a longer silhouette from below. The 12g still loads a rod properly, so it casts accurately at real distance. The colourful resin body gives fish a clear visual target, and a flexible silicone skirt spreads and pulses during the retrieve. A strong 2/0 double hook sits close to the rear of the body, which reduces hook exposure around grass, weed and light surface cover compared with fully exposed hooks — though no lure is completely snag-free.

How To Fish It

• Slow surface swim — Wind at a constant, unhurried speed. Because the longer body carries the same 12g, it keeps swimming cleanly at speeds where a shorter 12g frog starts to plough and drown its own action.
• Twitch and pause — Two or three short rod-tip twitches for an irregular, frog-like scramble, then stop for two to three seconds. It sits high through the stop and the skirt keeps breathing, which is when most fish commit.
• Show the long profile — Over clear shallow flats and lily edges the extra length is the point. Fish that have refused shorter frogs all season often take a bigger silhouette moving at the same speed.
• Work the edge — Cast parallel to a reed wall or grass line and keep the lure within a rod length of it for the whole retrieve.
• Pause before setting — Striking at the splash pulls a hard body clear. Wind through the blow-up, wait for the rod to load with weight, then sweep sideways.
