The Bufo Let's Go V.6 is a handmade topwater frog on the compact 4.5cm body at 8.5g — the same length and weight as the V.2, and half a gram above the 8g V.8 at the light end of the Let's Go range. Read that as a job description rather than a number: with only 8.5g over a short body it floats high, lands quietly, and keeps a working surface action at retrieve speeds where the 11g and 12g versions start to plough. It also hops across matted weed with less effort, because there is less mass pressing it into the mat. The trade-off is honest — it casts shorter than the heavy 5cm frogs and is pushed off line sooner by wind, so this is a short-to-medium range bait for sheltered ponds, canals and weed edges. The bright resin body gives a clear visual target and a flexible silicone skirt spreads and pulses behind it. Rear double hooks sit close against the body, reducing hook exposure around light vegetation compared with fully exposed trebles, though no lure is completely snag-free. Where the V.6 differs from the V.2 is the colour card: it runs its own 61 to 67 block, which swaps the V.2's Orange Gold for a solid Black.

How To Fish It

• Slow steady swim — Wind at a constant, unhurried speed so the body pushes a wake and the skirt trails behind. At 8.5g it holds its action where a heavier frog would plough.
• Twitch and pause — Two or three short rod-tip twitches, then a two- to three-second stop. The skirt keeps breathing while the lure sits still, and that is when most fish commit.
• Skip across mats — Sharp downward taps hop it over duckweed, salvinia and lily pads, and it drops softly into the open holes rather than crashing in.
• Work the grass edge — Cast parallel to a weed line and keep the lure within a rod length of the edge for the whole retrieve, instead of pulling it out into open water.
• Pause before setting — Striking at the splash pulls a hard body clear. Wind through the blow-up, wait for the rod to load with the fish's weight, then sweep sideways.
