Little Jack Metal Adict Type-03 Metal Jig 83mm 30g / 90mm 40g
The Metal Adict Type-03 is the quiet, finesse-leaning jig in the Metal Adict range. Its body is asymmetric left to right and gently curved, so it travels straight on the retrieve with only a tight micro-action instead of rolling hard — the movement of a weakened anchovy rather than a fleeing one. On a slack line it holds a horizontal posture all the way down, staying in the fish's window through the whole fall. That separates it from the Type-02, a straight centre-balanced blank that flutters down like a falling leaf and rewards hard one-pitch jigging: the Type-02 searches and appeals, the Type-03 is what to reach for when fish are switched off or the mark is pressured. The rear carries a large tinsel single on a semi-fixed twin-eye system that keeps it close to the body and clear of the line, and it can be removed for a looser, more irregular action.
Key Features
- Asymmetric curved body producing a subtle micro-action, not heavy rotation
- Holds a horizontal posture through the fall
- Semi-fixed twin-eye rear system takes a large hook without line tangles
- Front assist hook and rear tinsel single supplied
- Two sizes stocked: 83mm at 30g and 90mm at 40g, both sinking
- Suits micro jigging, super light jigging (SLJ) and shore jigging
How To Fish It
- Lift and fall — The core method. Lift smoothly to about eleven o'clock, lower the tip and let the jig glide down flat on a semi-slack line. Most takes come on that fall.
- Twitch for panic action — Short sharp twitches with the tip low make it break sideways like a startled baitfish. Use two or three, then stop dead.
- Slow one-pitch — One gentle lift per reel turn, softer than a standard jigging cadence, to keep the micro-action working without over-rotating the body.
- Bottom search — Let it hit bottom, take up two or three turns, then repeat. Effective over reef edges and sand drop-offs.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Trevally (gerepoh), queenfish and Spanish mackerel (tenggiri) off jetties and breakwaters, plus grouper and snapper on the bottom.
- North America — Striped bass, bluefish and false albacore from beaches and jetties; bonito, calico bass and rockfish on the West Coast.
- Japan & East Asia — Super light jigging and shore jigging for inada, saba, kanpachi and madai, plus hirame and kasago on the bottom search.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Australian salmon, tailor and bonito off ocean rocks; queenfish on Gulf marks; bass, pollack and mackerel in Europe.
