Little Jack Ignited Blade Sinking Jig 30mm / 34mm / 39mm — 5g / 7g / 10g

The Ignited Blade is a light blade jig built around a compact body designed for high-speed retrieves, with an original Colorado blade mounted at the rear. That combination appeals to a wide range of targets, from small pelagic fish to bottom dwellers, and the compact body also excels in casting distance, reaching water beyond the range of most lures this size. The difference from a plain metal jig matters: a metal jig needs the angler to work the rod before the body darts and flutters, whereas the rear blade here spins the moment the lure moves, so a straight wind alone produces flash and vibration. That is the basis of Japanese light blade jigging.

Key Features

  • Compact 30–39 mm body that casts far beyond its size class
  • Original compact Colorado blade at the rear, spinning on a plain retrieve
  • Belly-down body shape that holds depth even at high retrieve speeds
  • BKK hooks fitted as standard
  • Eight patterns spanning natural baitfish, UV keimura and glow finishes

How To Fish It

  • Tada-maki (steady retrieve) — The main method. Cast, count down, then wind at a constant speed. The blade rotates and pulls the lure in a straight, flashing line. Vary the count, not the speed, to change depth.
  • Lift and fall — Lift the rod tip, then lower it and let the jig drop on a semi-slack line. The blade flutters on the descent and most bites come there.
  • Bottom bumping — Drop to the bottom, wind two or three turns, then let it fall back to contact. This is the rockfish pattern.
  • Surface retrieve — When small pelagics feed on top, cast past the boil and wind immediately so the blade works just under the surface.

Target Species By Region

  • Southeast Asia — Small queenfish, torpedo scad (selar) and needlefish off jetties, mangrove jack and small grouper on rock walls.
  • North America — Crappie, white bass and smallmouth in freshwater; speckled trout and Spanish mackerel inshore.
  • Japan & East Asia — Light blade jigging for kamasu, saba, wakashi and mekki, plus rockfish such as kasago and mebaru on the bottom.
  • Australia, Middle East & Europe — Bream, flathead and tailor in Australian estuaries; small queenfish on Gulf flats; perch and chub in European rivers and canals.
