What It Solves

• Joining braid to terminal tackle — Tie an FG knot or another tested connection appropriate to the line diameters. Tighten it progressively, trim it cleanly and confirm that it travels through the guides without catching.
• Reducing visibility — Use enough leader to distance the lure or bait from opaque braid in clear water. Avoid making a small presentation unnecessarily stiff by selecting more strength than the situation requires.
