HINOTSU - DEEP UNDER JIGGING PE LINE DU-1/DU-2 100M/300M JIGGING LINE MADE IN JAPAN is an eight-strand PE series for vertical fishing, offered as DU-1 and DU-2 in both 100m and 300m live variants. DU-1 extends through PE4.0 / 60LB, while DU-2 currently extends through PE3.0 / 50LB. Every selector label includes model, PE class, breaking strain, approximate diameter and length.

What It Solves

Vertical fishing becomes harder when line drag and stretch delay the lure’s response. Deep Under uses a fine braided profile and direct feel to improve drop control and keep the angler connected in deeper water. The 300m format provides working reserve, while 100m choices support top-ups, segmented filling or specific reel plans.

DU-1 and DU-2 do not share identical maximum sizes in Shopify. The specifications separate them so a DU-2 customer is not shown a PE4.0 option that exists only under DU-1.

Recommended Pairing

Choose DU-1 when the live PE4.0 / 60LB upper option or a stronger general jigging system is required. Choose DU-2 from its PE0.8–3.0 live range for a lighter slow-jigging-oriented setup. Match length to reel capacity and intended depth.

Use a leader balancing abrasion protection with natural jig movement. Spool braid firmly; loose lower wraps can trap upper line under drag and disrupt a deep drop.

Spool braid under firm, even tension. Use a braid-compatible knot, tighten it progressively and test the completed leader connection before fishing. Select the final line class for reel capacity, terminal load, working drag, leader strength and cover—not by breaking strain alone.
