HAYABUSA - FS305 SOFT LURE WITH GRUB TAIL 1.9INCHES x 8PCS SOFT PLASTIC FINESSES GAME
Hayabusa FS305 Soft Lure With Grub Tail 1.9", 8 Pieces Per Pack
The FS305 is a 1.9" Japanese light game worm for ajing and finesse work on micro jig heads. Hayabusa mould it in PVC as a sinking type and blend shrimp extract into the plastic to induce bites. Hayabusa describe the strong vibrations of the curly tail appealing to horse mackerel and drawing a quick bite when fish are active, and note that while the curl moves regularly, the trailing element tangles irregularly to break that rhythm up. The body is jointed so it folds easily and does not resist when a fish inhales the lure — the detail that turns short taps into hooked fish on a 0.5 g head. Supplied 8 pieces per pack in ten colours.
Key Features
- 1.9" micro soft plastic for ajing and light game finesse
- Curled grub tail that generates vibration at very low speeds and on the fall
- Jointed body that bends easily so it does not obstruct a fish sucking it in
- PVC construction, sinking type
- Shrimp extract blended into the plastic to induce and hold bites
- Ten colours including UV, night-light and glow finishes; 8 pieces per pack
How To Fish It
- Tada-maki (straight slow retrieve) — On a 0.3 to 1.5 g jig head, cast, count down, then wind as slowly as you can while still feeling the tail load the tip. The curl keeps working where a paddle tail is dead.
- Lift and fall — Lift the rod from 9 to 11 o'clock, then lower it and let the head sink on a controlled slack line. Count the fall; most aji and mebaru bites come on the drop.
- Read the line, not the rod — A light head never loads the tip on the take. Keep the line lightly tensioned and strike when it ticks, jumps or stops sinking early.
- Night light edges — Cast into the dark water outside a jetty or bridge light and drift the lure back through the shadow line. In tidal flow you can stop winding entirely and let the current work the tail.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Small grouper (kerapu) and golden threadfin bream (kerisi) off jetty pilings, juvenile barramundi (siakap) and the mixed light-tackle bag around ports and river mouths.
- North America — Crappie, bluegill and yellow perch in freshwater; speckled trout, whiting and small flounder on inshore micro jig heads.
- Japan & East Asia — The design target: horse mackerel (aji) on ajing tackle, plus mebaru and kasago on mebaring and light rock game around breakwaters.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Bream, whiting and flathead on ultralight estuary gear; LRF for wrasse, scad and mini species off European piers; small grouper and bream from Gulf harbour walls.
