DUEL - HARDCORE XX CRANK 3+ 70mm F1102 FISHING LURES
Duel Hardcore XX Crank 3+ 70mm F1102
The Hardcore XX Crank 3+ is a deep-diving crankbait from Duel's Hardcore line. The "3+" is Duel's own depth code for its crank range: it marks the model that works the three-metre band, one step deeper than the 2+ and shallower than the 4+. It is built around Duel's Magnet Weight Transfer System, which holds a tungsten weight at the tail during the cast and releases it on splashdown, so a compact 70mm body still carries into a headwind and lands ready to dig. Once at depth it holds a tight wobble and rolling flash, and keeps that action when you crank hard or when current pushes against it. At 20g in a 70mm body it is dense for its length, which lets it drive down fast and stay on the bottom instead of climbing on the retrieve.
Key Features
- Magnet Weight Transfer System with tungsten weight for casting distance
- "3+" depth code: Duel's designation for the three-metre crankbait class
- Compact 70mm body at 20g, dense enough to reach depth quickly
- Holographic finish with scale detail and 3D eyes
- Pre-rigged with treble hooks and split rings for fresh or salt water
- Floating, so it backs off structure on the pause instead of hanging up
How To Fish It
- Bottom-contact cranking — Cast long, wind fast to drive the lure down, then slow to a steady grind so it ticks bottom or deflects off rock. Most strikes come off the deflection, so keep winding through contact.
- Stop and go — Crank six or eight turns, stop for a second so the floating body rises slightly, then resume. This clears weed and triggers followers.
- Structure edges — Run it along drop-offs, submerged roadbeds, dam walls and channel edges, angling the cast to keep the lure in the three-metre band as long as possible.
- Wind-blown banks — Cast into the chop where bait stacks up; the weight-transfer system makes this practical and the tight action holds in disturbed water.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Peacock bass and hampala barb (sebarau) on reservoir points and dam walls, giant snakehead (toman) off submerged timber, barramundi (siakap) on deeper river-mouth edges.
- North America — Largemouth and smallmouth bass on offshore ledges, humps and riprap; walleye on gravel bars.
- Japan & East Asia — Black bass in the big lakes and reservoirs, where deep cranking the three-metre band is a standard summer and autumn pattern.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Australian bass, golden perch and Murray cod on impoundment timber; zander, pike and perch on European drop-offs.

Recommended Pairing
- 7'–7'6" medium-heavy cranking rod with a moderate action, so fish stay pinned on trebles
- 12–17 lb fluorocarbon; heavier line lifts the lure, lighter line lets it run at its full depth
- A lower-geared baitcasting reel, around 5.4:1 to 6.4:1, to hold a steady grind through the load
- Add a short heavy fluorocarbon trace where toothy species are present
