Duel Hardcore Minnow 70mm / 90mm / 110mm / 130mm F918 / F919 / F920 / F921 Floating Fishing Lures
The Duel Hardcore Minnow is the shallow-running floating minnow at the centre of the Hardcore range, offered in four body lengths so the same action can be matched to the bait on the day. All four run in the 0.2–0.8 m band across the series, holding a tight wobble on a straight wind and breaking into a sharp side-to-side dart when twitched. The Magnet Weight Transfer System moves an internal weight to the tail during the cast and locks it forward on the retrieve, which lets a 4.5g 70mm body reach water that light minnows normally cannot. Triple flash construction works light from three directions: a mirror ball back, super mirror flanks, and a translucent tail-bait belly that keeps glowing on the pause. These are discontinued Duel model numbers, so the sizes and colours listed are what remains available.
Key Features
- Four sizes: 70mm / 4.5g (F918), 90mm / 6g (F919), 110mm / 9g (F920), 130mm / 13g (F921)
- Floating shallow runner, roughly the 0.2–0.8 m band across the series
- Magnet Weight Transfer System for casting distance; tight wobble on the wind, sharp darting on twitches
- Triple flash: mirror ball back, super mirror flanks, translucent tail-bait belly
- UV-enhanced and natural finishes, ABS body with corrosion-resistant trebles for fresh and salt water
How To Fish It
- Steady retrieve — Wind at a constant medium pace and let the wobble do the work. The simplest way to cover a flat, weed edge or shoreline.
- Twitch and pause — Two short twitches, then a pause. The floating body rises slowly on the stop, which often draws the strike from a following fish.
- Match the size to the bait — 70mm and 90mm for small baitfish and pressured fish on light tackle; 110mm and 130mm where bigger bait is present and you need casting weight.
- Current and tide lines — Cast across a river mouth or headland rip and swim the lure back through the seam, slowing where the water breaks.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Hampala barb (sebarau) and peacock bass in reservoirs on the small sizes; barramundi (siakap), mangrove jack and queenfish around mangroves and jetties on 110mm and 130mm.
- North America — Largemouth and smallmouth bass, trout and walleye; speckled trout, snook and school stripers inshore.
- Japan & East Asia — Black bass and trout in fresh water, and seabass (suzuki) from harbours and river mouths on the larger sizes.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Bream, flathead and estuary barramundi; queenfish on Gulf flats; pike, perch, zander and asp in European rivers.
