Ring Lock is American Tackle's patented seat (US Patent D627,032), described by the maker as a pressure-fit design with an enlarged glue reservoir and a larger contact area around the ring, so the ring is held mechanically as well as by adhesive. How To Build With It

• Put the light rings where they count — Guide weight has most effect from the mid-section forward. Use 6 mm through the tip third and keep 10 mm back near the grip, where the line still has spool memory to shed.
• Leader connection clearance — Before you commit, pull your loop-to-loop or nail-knot connection through a 6 mm ring by hand. If it catches, move the smallest size one station back from the tip.
• Matching the build — The TICH tone sits closer to titanium and gunmetal hardware than to chrome. Pick thread and a tip top in the same family or the guide train will read as mismatched.
• Static test before finishing — Tape the train on, hang a weight from the tip and sight along the blank. Line should follow the bend evenly; adjust before any epoxy goes on.
