The Crystal 3D Minnow Deep Diver is Yo-Zuri's offshore trolling minnow. A long polycarbonate lip drives the lure down and holds it there under load, so it swims in the strike zone instead of skipping: 4 m for the 130 mm F1153, 6 m for the 150 mm F1154. The patented 3D internal prism finish throws flash from inside the body and stays visible at distance in blue water, and a rattle chamber puts sound into the spread. Saltwater-grade tin trebles, stainless split rings and a reinforced lip let it survive wahoo and mackerel. It works from 3 to 8 knots — a slow reef troll through to a run between grounds.

How To Fish It

• Setting trolling speed — Start at 5 knots and watch the rod tip: a fast, even pulse means it is tracking. Drop to 3–4 knots over reef and for sailfish or tuna on small bait; push to 7–8 knots to cover ground for wahoo and Spanish mackerel.
• Line out and running depth — Depth builds with distance. About 20–30 m back gets the lure most of the way down; 40–60 m back runs deepest and quietest, which matters in flat, clear water. Shorten to 15–20 m on the flat line if fish chase the wake.
• Reading the spread — Stagger short and long lines so the lures sit at different depths. On every turn the inside lure slows and sinks while the outside one accelerates, so turn deliberately over structure — the speed change often draws the bite.
• Casting and jerking — Wind down hard to load the lip, then use long sweeps with pauses; the lure floats up between sweeps and clears reef.

Target Species By Region

• Southeast Asia — Spanish mackerel (tenggiri), wahoo, sailfish, mahi-mahi, giant trevally (GT) and small yellowfin tuna over offshore reef, FADs and pinnacles; cobia and queenfish closer in.
• North America — Wahoo, mahi-mahi, king mackerel and blackfin tuna offshore; striped bass, muskie and big walleye on deep freshwater and coastal trolls.
• Japan & East Asia — Yellowtail (buri), amberjack (kanpachi) and Japanese Spanish mackerel (sawara) on offshore trolling runs.
• Australia, Middle East & Europe — Spanish mackerel, wahoo and longtail tuna in the north; GT, queenfish and kingfish on Gulf grounds; bluefish and bonito along Mediterranean and Iberian coasts.
