Santec YP Vibe X 35mm Vibration Lure — 3 Pcs Set

The Santec YP Vibe is a compact metal vibration lure designed to produce strong underwater vibration, flashing movement and an erratic baitfish presentation. Its slim metal body sinks quickly and begins vibrating as soon as it is retrieved or lifted, imitating a small injured baitfish and pulling predators in from shallow, mid and deeper water. Three adjustable tow-point holes let you change the swimming angle, water resistance and vibration strength, so one lure can be tuned for a fast search retrieve or a slow, tight-shaking lift-and-fall. Two sharp treble hooks give multiple hooking points, and the 3D eye finishes a realistic visual target. At 35 mm it is a genuinely small blade — the size to reach for when fish are on tiny bait and a full-size vibe gets ignored. Supplied three lures to a set, in five colour sets.

How To Fish It

• Count the sink — A metal blade has no buoyancy, so depth is controlled purely by counting. Cast, count down in seconds, then fish. When you get a bite, repeat the same count on the next cast rather than guessing.
• Lift and pause — Sharp lift of the rod tip, then drop the tip and let the lure flutter back on a controlled slack line. Almost every strike comes on the pause, so stay in contact and watch the line as it falls.
• Straight retrieve — Wind just fast enough to feel the blade buzzing through the rod. Slow down until the vibration nearly stops, then speed up again — the change often triggers a follower.
• Tune the tow point — Front hole for a wider, slower action in shallow water; rear hole for a tighter, faster vibration and a steeper dive for deeper or faster water.

• Southeast Asia — Hampala barb (sebarau) in rivers, small barramundi (siakap) and grunter around jetties, and queenfish, small trevally and needlefish off breakwalls and rock walls.
• North America — Smallmouth and largemouth bass on cold-water lift-and-fall, walleye and white bass over flats, plus schooling speckled trout inshore.
• Japan & East Asia — Rockfish (mebaru, kasago), horse mackerel and small seabass on light game and micro-vibration tackle around harbours.

Recommended Pairing

• Light spinning rod, 6–7 ft, with a soft enough tip to let the blade load and a fast recovery for the lift
• PE 0.4–0.8 braid with a 8–14 lb fluorocarbon leader; braid transmits the vibration so you can feel when the blade stops working
• Add a short wire trace where mackerel, needlefish or barracuda are present — the trebles sit close to the body and toothy fish reach the leader
