The Sabiki Apollo lure set is crafted with special feather and carries a UV effect that increases visibility in low light and night fishing. A sabiki (サビキ) is a Japanese bait rig: one trace, a row of short droppers, a small dressed hook on each, and a bait cage or sinker below.

The dressing is the choice. Fish skin is the most lifelike but tears once fish start hitting; luminous dressings self-emit after charging; aurora thread flashes. Feather flares open on the drop and collapses on the lift — a fuller, softer silhouette than a flat skin strip, and it outlasts membrane. The UV effect reflects ultraviolet light already in the water, so it works deep and under cloud in daylight, not in true darkness.

How To Fish It

• Standard set-up — Clip the top swivel to your main line and hang a bait cage or sinker below, heavy enough to keep the string vertical.
• Drop and chum — Lower it to where the school is holding, pack the cage with mashed shrimp or krill, and shake the rod to spread a cloud through the rig.
• Short jigging — Lift the tip 20–40 cm and lower it, repeatedly. The feathers open on each drop; that draws the strike, not speed.
• Read the taps, never strike — Bites feel like continuous light tremors, not one knock. Wind steadily; a hard lift tears small hooks from soft mouths.
• Landing a loaded rig — Swing the string in rather than lifting it clear, unhook from the bottom dropper upward, and put keepers into an aerated pail as live bait.
