The Duel Hardcore Noi-Z is a floating surface bait with a tail-mounted propeller — a prop wake bait rather than a conventional minnow, and it is fished as one. The two-piece body is hinged so it snakes in an S-track at the surface, while the reverse-cupped metal prop chops water behind it and throws spray, flash and low-frequency vibration. An internal hard-knock rattle adds a second sound source for stained water and night sessions, and the prop loads against the water so a slow deliberate wake is easy to hold. The 85mm F1127 at 24.5g suits tighter water; the 105mm F1064 at 28g pushes a bigger wake for open reservoir arms and river mouths. Both are discontinued Duel model numbers, so the colours listed are what remains available.

How To Fish It

• Slow wake retrieve — Rod tip high, wind just fast enough for the prop to turn steadily and leave a visible V. This is the primary presentation; resist the urge to speed up.
• Twitch and pause — Wind three or four turns, then twitch and stop so the prop stalls. Strikes often come the second the noise cuts out.
• Shoreline parallel casts — Run it tight along mangrove edges, weed lines and dam walls, keeping the wake within a metre of cover.
• Do not strike on the splash — Wait until you feel the fish load the rod, then sweep. Fish it hardest at dawn, dusk and after dark.

• Southeast Asia — Giant snakehead (toman) over weed and timber, peacock bass and hampala barb (sebarau) in reservoirs, barramundi (siakap) along mangrove edges at first light.
