BOSSNA - HEAVY PENCIL 11g/15g/22g SINKING PENCIL FISHING LURES
Bossna Heavy Pencil 11g / 15g / 22g Sinking Pencil Fishing Lures
The Bossna Heavy Pencil is a lipless sinking pencil built for casting distance and fast searching. The dense body loads a rod hard and cuts through headwind, reaching fish beyond the range of a sinking stickbait. Because it sinks, one lure covers the whole water column: count it down to the holding depth, or wind immediately and work it high with a distinctive "walking" action that creates disturbance and pulls predators from a distance. Crafted with premium materials, it carries ultra-sharp hooks for rapid penetration on tough-lipped predators even with light hook sets.
Key Features
- Lipless sinking pencil body that casts long and holds contact in wind and current
- Three sizes: 6.5 cm / 11 g, 8 cm / 15 g, 9.5 cm / 22 g
- Countdown fishing to any depth, plus pauses and drops mid-retrieve
- Walking action on a twitched retrieve for disturbance near the surface
- Ultra-sharp hooks for fast penetration on light hook sets
- Eight colour patterns covering bright, natural and transparent finishes
How To Fish It
- Countdown search — Cast, count the lure down in seconds before retrieving, and add a second on each cast until you find the fish. Then repeat that count.
- Fast walk near the surface — Wind the instant it lands and add short rod-tip twitches so the lure swings side to side just under the surface. Effective over shallow reef and feeding schools.
- Rip and drop — Sweep the rod to rip the lure two or three metres, then drop the tip and let it flutter back on a semi-slack line. Most bites come on the fall, so watch the line.
- Long-range shore casting — Use the 15 g and 22 g into a headwind from rock walls and breakwaters to reach schools working well out from the edge.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Queenfish (talang) and trevally off breakwaters and river mouths, barramundi (siakap) around jetty lights, barracuda over shallow reef, and hampala barb (sebarau) on the 11 g in reservoirs.
- North America — Striped bass, bluefish, false albacore and Spanish mackerel from surf, inlets and jetties; the 11 g also searches for largemouth and white bass in freshwater.
- Japan & East Asia — Sea bass (suzuki), young yellowtail (inada) and Spanish mackerel (sawara) on light shore jigging and surf tackle from beaches and harbour walls.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Tailor and Australian salmon off ocean beaches; queenfish and barracuda on Gulf coastlines; European sea bass and pollack from rock marks and piers.
