BOSSNA - ROLLING SWIVEL W/STRONG KNOT 7522 BLACK FISHING ACCESSORIES
Bossna Rolling Swivel With Strong Knot 7522 Black
The Bossna 7522 pairs a rolling swivel with an integrated strong-knot power-lock snap, so one component both sheds line twist and lets you change lures without cutting the leader. The snap is the distinguishing part: instead of an open hook resting in a bend, the wire is formed into a closed loop with the tag wrapped back onto the body. Load pulls against that wrap rather than a single open end, so it must be worked open deliberately and is far harder to lever apart on timber or a head-shake.
Key Features
- Smooth rolling-swivel action, 360° rotation to minimise line twist
- Strong-knot power-lock snap — the tag wraps back on the body, not an open hook
- Quick lure changes without cutting or retying the leader
- Black nickel finish; compact, low-drag design
- Tested strengths across the range from 18 lb to 220 lb
Which Connection Mechanism
- Strong knot (7522, this model) — The closed, wrapped tag resists being opened under load. Widest size range in the family, #10 to #3/0, and the most general-purpose choice here.
- C lock (7521) — The tag sits captured inside a formed C: bulkier and slower to change, the most positive lock here.
- V snap (7518) — The wire tucks into a V, so load tends to close it rather than open it: slim and fast.
- Danish snap (7510) — Open-hook, quickest one-handed and easiest to lever open on timber.
- Plain rolling swivel (7516) — No snap; retie every change, but nothing can spring open.
- Under constant rotation — All of these bind once pulled tight. For jigging, spinners, trolling and deep drop, move to the ball-bearing 7525 or 7524.
How To Rig It
- Main line to leader — Palomar from braid to the swivel eye, improved clinch on mono. Wet the knot before seating it.
- Snap to lure — Clip to the split ring, not the bare wire eye, and confirm the tag is seated after every change.
- Matching size to line — A bigger number means smaller here: #10 lightest, #3/0 heaviest. Match line class and lure weight, not the fish you hope for.
- The weakest link — Undersized, the snap fails before the leader. Around mangrove roots and timber, step up a size.
- After saltwater — Rinse and dry. Replace any unit whose swivel binds or whose snap has opened out of shape.
