How To Use It

• Cast-and-retrieve lures — Fill the spool evenly and stop below the lip. Close the bail by hand, remove slack and vary retrieve speed for plugs, spoons, soft plastics and small jigs.
• Bottom-contact techniques — Move the lure with the rod and use the reel to recover controlled slack. This preserves bite detection and prevents the reel from becoming the primary lifting tool.
• Bait and float rigs — Match sinker weight to the rod, keep swivels outside the line roller and leave the drag able to release line on a strong run.
• Routine care — Wipe the reel after freshwater use. After salt exposure, mist gently with fresh water, dry fully and store with the drag relaxed; never use high-pressure water or immerse the reel.
