How To Use It

• Cast-and-retrieve lures — Fill the spool evenly, close the bail by hand and begin the retrieve after removing slack. Standard ratios favour controlled cranking; high-speed options recover slack faster around current, structure and fast-moving fish.
• Soft-plastic and jig work — Use the rod to impart action and the reel to recover controlled slack. This maintains contact with the lure without turning each lift into an unnecessarily fast pull.
• Bait and float rigs — Select a size with enough capacity for the venue and leave the drag able to release line. Keep swivels and knots outside the line roller and guides during casting.
