How To Use It

• Light lure casting — Fill the spool evenly and stop below the lip. Use smooth acceleration with small plugs, spoons, micro jigs or soft plastics; forcing a light lure usually reduces accuracy and increases wind knots.
• Finesse presentations — Keep the rod tip responsive and recover only enough slack to stay in contact. A measured retrieve allows subtle jig-head hops, small twitchbaits and slow rolling without overpowering the lure.
• Drag setup — Set drag below the weakest point in the line, leader and knot system. Test with the reel mounted on the rod, then allow the rod and drag to cushion sudden runs rather than locking the spool.
• Care after use — Close the drag lightly, mist away salt and grime with fresh water, wipe dry and release the drag for storage. Do not use high-pressure water or immerse the reel.
