Luresfactory TR Nano Jump 3cm 6g Hardbody Topwater

The TR Nano Jump is the smallest surface lure in this range: a 3cm resin body carrying 6g, with a rounded concave front face and a flexible silicone skirt behind a close-fitting No. 1 hook. It exists for the situation where fish are showing on top but will not eat a full-size frog — pressured canal water, low clear water in the dry season, or a day when the boils are all short swipes and nothing sticks. Downsizing to a 3cm profile turns those swipes into takes, and the small single hook fits a smaller mouth. Six grams in a 3cm body is dense for the size, so it still casts a long way and holds a line into wind rather than kiting like most micro lures. The concave face pushes water on a short rod stroke, and the skirt spreads and pulses behind the body, keeping the lure visually alive even when it is barely moving.

Key Features

  • Compact resin-body topwater, 3cm and 6g
  • Rounded concave front face that pushes water on short rod strokes
  • Flexible silicone skirt for extra movement and vibration behind the body
  • Close-fitting No. 1 hook for working around light cover with less exposure than an open treble
  • Dense for its size, so it casts well despite the small profile
  • Bright colours and a large eye for visibility on the water
  • Suits twitching, jumping and pause-and-retrieve presentations
  • Sized for ponds, lakes, rivers and canals, and for tight gaps in cover
  • Seven colour patterns

How To Fish It

  • Downsize when they swipe — If fish are boiling on a full-size frog without taking it, cast the Nano Jump through the same water. A smaller profile and a smaller hook convert refusals more reliably than changing colour.
  • Short jump-and-pop cadence — Two or three light downward taps of the rod tip so the concave face blips and the lure hops forward, then stop for two or three seconds. On a lure this small keep every input small; a hard stroke drags it instead of hopping it.
  • Tight gaps and narrow lanes — Its size lets you place it into gaps between reeds, under overhanging branches and into small open pockets that will not take a bigger lure. Stop it dead in each pocket before moving on.
  • Slow it right down — In flat, clear water, twitch once and let it sit for five seconds. The skirt keeps breathing on the pause and does the work while the body sits still.
  • Wait for weight on the strike — A hard body cannot compress. Do not hit the splash; keep winding until the rod loads, then sweep sideways rather than striking upward.

Target Species By Region

  • Southeast Asia — Striped snakehead (haruan) in paddy drains and irrigation canals, small giant snakehead (toman) on weed edges, peacock bass in lily pockets, hampala barb (sebarau) on shallow river lines.
  • North America — Largemouth bass on pressured ponds and duckweed, plus crappie, chain pickerel and bowfin where a micro surface profile suits fish that have seen everything.
  • Japan & East Asia — Bass over shallow weed on hard-fished reservoirs, small snakehead (raigyo) on cover edges, catfish (namazu) at dusk in canals.
  • Australia, Middle East & Europe — Saratoga and juvenile barramundi in lily-covered billabongs and creek arms; perch and small pike over weed in European lakes and canals.

  • Light to medium rod with a responsive tip — a stiff heavy rod will drag a 6g lure instead of hopping it

  • Short fluorocarbon leader in clear water; a short wire trace only where snakehead or pike are present
