Recommended Pairing

Use the lower live ratings with compact spinning or baitcasting outfits and lighter lures. Middle strengths suit general inshore casting and vertical work, while 50–80lb needs larger reels, stronger rods and terminal hardware rated for higher drag.

Choose a visible colour when watching slack or marking line-out is important; choose Black or Green for a subdued single-colour setup. Add a mono or fluorocarbon leader for shock absorption, clarity or abrasion protection.
