DUEL - ARMORED VIBE 55mm/85mm F1089/F1092 SINKING CASTING LURE
Duel Armored Vibe 55mm / 85mm F1089 / F1092 Sinking
The Armored Vibe is a lipless sinking vibration bait — the class you reach for to cover water fast, work several depth layers on one cast and draw a bite through vibration rather than profile. Its name comes from the construction: a transparent outer shell is moulded over the printed inner pattern, so the colour sits behind armour and survives contact with rock, timber and teeth. A centre core through the belly acts as a bottom sonar, absorbing impact on hard structure, and a tangle-free line-tie geometry cuts down on fouled trebles on the drop. The two sizes do different jobs: the 55mm at 15g is a compact searching bait for pressured fish, the 85mm at 35g a long-casting model for deep water.
Key Features
- Armored body: clear outer shell over the inner colour pattern, resisting chips and peeling
- Bottom sonar centre core that absorbs hard bottom contact
- Tangle-free structure that reduces line wrap on the fall
- Tight, high-frequency vibration on lift-and-fall or steady retrieves
- Fast sinking, covering surface to bottom on a single cast
- Dense body for long casts into wind
How To Fish It
- Count-down and steady wind — Count the lure down to the layer you want, then wind at constant speed, just fast enough to feel the vibration through the blank. If it stops buzzing, you are too slow.
- Lift and fall — Let it hit bottom, sweep the rod to about 10 o'clock, then follow it down on a semi-slack line. Bites come on the drop, so watch where the line enters the water.
- Burn and kill — Wind fast for several turns, then stop dead and let it sink one or two seconds. The switch from hard vibration to silence triggers followers.
- Deep structure — Use the 85mm on drop-offs, breakwalls and current lines where 15g will not hold position.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Hampala barb (sebarau) on river bends and giant snakehead (toman) in reservoirs on the 55mm; barramundi (siakap) and queenfish around jetties and breakwalls on the 85mm.
- North America — Largemouth and smallmouth bass on winter and pre-spawn flats, walleye on gravel, striped bass and redfish inshore.
- Japan & East Asia — Black bass on lake flats, seabass (suzuki) in river mouths, hirame and flathead off sandy beaches with the heavier size.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Australian bass, golden perch and barramundi in impoundments; zander, pike and perch in European canals; queenfish on Gulf flats.
