YOZURI - WORM CUT 30mm/42mm/48mm SOFT BAIT LURE
Yozuri Worm Cut 30mm / 42mm / 48mm Soft Bait Lure
The Yo-Zuri Worm Cut series is a line of small soft plastic baits shaped to imitate a worm or a baitfish tail, with a lively tail motion that starts at very low retrieve speeds. The three sizes — #SS at 30 mm, #M at 42 mm and #L at 48 mm — sit firmly in the finesse and light-game bracket, which is where they earn their keep: pressured fish, clear water, and any situation where a full-size lure is too much bait. The soft body takes a small jig head cleanly and gives good hook exposure on light hooks. Both colours, 17 and LP, run across all three sizes, so you can step the size up or down without changing your colour.
Key Features
- Three body lengths: 30 mm (#SS), 42 mm (#M) and 48 mm (#L)
- Worm / baitfish-tail profile with tail motion at slow speeds
- Soft compound for easy hook penetration on light wire hooks
- Both colours (17 and LP) available in every size
- Rigs on micro jig heads, drop shot, split shot or as a jig trailer
- Works in fresh and salt water on the same light tackle
How To Fish It
- Micro jig head retrieve — Match a 0.5–3 g head to the depth, cast, count down, and wind slowly and steadily. Keep the rod tip low so the bait tracks straight past structure.
- Lift and drop — Raise the rod tip, then let the bait flutter back on a controlled slack line. The tail keeps working on the fall, which is where most bites land — watch the line rather than feeling for the hit.
- Drop shot — Nose-hook the 30 mm or 42 mm above a 3–7 g sinker and shake the rod tip in place over rock, weed edges or a deep pontoon. Effective on fish holding tight and refusing to chase.
- Trailer — Add the 48 mm behind a small jig, blade or spinnerbait to bulk the profile slightly and slow the fall.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Hampala barb (sebarau) and small peacock bass in reservoirs, small grouper and chermin around jetty pilings, and juvenile barramundi (siakap) on mangrove edges.
- North America — Crappie, bluegill, yellow perch, smallmouth and spotted bass on a drop shot or ned-style head; speckled trout and small flounder inshore.
- Japan & East Asia — Aji (ajing), mebaru (mebaring), kasago and small rockfish around harbours and breakwaters, plus small trout in stream systems.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Bream, whiting and estuary perch in Australian estuaries; small grouper on Gulf rock walls; perch, zander and small trout across Europe.
