YOZURI - MAG MINNOW 90mm R1142 SINKING NEW TOBIMARU
Yozuri Mag Minnow 90mm R1142 Sinking New Tobimaru
The Yo-Zuri Mag Minnow is a 90 mm sinking minnow built for distance. An internal magnetic weight transfer system shifts mass to the tail on the cast for a stable flight, then returns it forward on landing so the lure swims true from the first turn of the handle. At 16 g it holds its line in wind and current instead of skating, which makes it workable from an exposed breakwater or in a running tide. The through-wire ABS body and stainless hardware are rated for salt water, and the 3X strong trebles are there for fish that pull hard. Available in five colours including LH (glow).
Key Features
- Magnetic weight transfer system for long, accurate casts with stable flight, even in wind
- Realistic baitfish action — tight wiggle on the retrieve, erratic dart when twitched or paused
- Sinking design (90 mm / 16 g) for targeting different depths and holding control in strong current
- Durable ABS resin body with wire-through construction and stainless-steel hardware for saltwater use
- 3X strong treble hooks for secure hook-ups against powerful fish
- Versatile across freshwater and saltwater predators
- Five colours, including a glow pattern for night and deep or dirty water
How To Fish It
- Count down and wind — Cast, count the lure down one second per foot of target depth, then retrieve at a steady medium pace so the tight wiggle stays constant. Adjust the count until you find the holding depth.
- Twitch and pause — Two or three sharp twitches then a pause of one to two seconds. The lure darts off line and then sinks nose-down, which triggers followers that will not commit to a straight retrieve.
- Cast into current — From a breakwater or river mouth, cast up-current and let the lure swing across on a tight line, adding the occasional twitch. Fish sit on the current seam and take on the swing.
- Long-cast shore work — Use the casting weight to reach bait or structure beyond normal range from beaches, rock walls and jetties, especially in wind.
Target Species By Region
- Southeast Asia — Barramundi (siakap), mangrove jack (jenahak), queenfish (talang) and trevally around jetties, rock walls and river mouths; giant snakehead (toman), hampala barb (sebarau) and peacock bass in reservoirs.
- North America — Striped bass, bluefish and false albacore from the surf and jetties; largemouth bass, walleye and white bass in freshwater.
- Japan & East Asia — Seabass (suzuki) shore casting at river mouths, hirame and flathead from sandy beaches, plus small blue runners on light shore jigging.
- Australia, Middle East & Europe — Barramundi, giant herring, tailor and Australian salmon; queenfish on Gulf coasts; sea bass, pollack and pike across Europe.
